I am ebaying a big piece of Sam and Fuzzy art! It’s the original line-art for the previously tumblr’d back cover of my upcoming book, Sam and Fuzzy Under the Influence.
If you’d like to bid on it, here is where to go!
Sneak peek at the back cover art for Sam and Fuzzy Under the Influence: a big, cat-filled scene from the “Animal Kingdom” chapter.
This will also be a desktop in the final bonus pack for members of the S&F Vol 2 Book Club, which will be emailing out in a couple weeks!
Development progress of the Steam Power: 100% Practical for Everything shirt!
I went through a lot of pretty bad design ideas (not shown, because I tossed ‘em) before arriving at the basic layout you see in the first sketch up there. Most of them had each of the three steam-powered items inside their own cog-shaped frames. Way too busy! It was when I figured out Theo should be holdingone of the items that it started to come together.
But even after I had decided on the basic layout, the design went through a lot of tweaking before I was confident the text and items looked right. We can all thank Jeph for pointing out that my original blimp and sandwich were not nearly intricate or ridiculous looking enough. I think it’s the sandwich valve and pistons that sell the whole shirt!
